A Wild, Yet Humble, Olive Shoot

5/21/25

Romans Pt. 11

Paul refers to the Jews as the olive tree that will serve to be a blessing to the nations by spreading the gospel to the Gentiles. However, many Jewish people rejected the gospel while many “wild olive shoots,” or Gentiles, received it. This “grafting in” of the Gentiles to the olive tree should inspire humility rather than arrogance. Jon O’Neil explains.
